Wheel, tire, off-set and width question

Looking at getting a 95-98 240 (S14) and doing a SR20DET swap and a S15 front end converion. But i was looking at rims and tires today and i dont have a clue on what will fit a 240. So here are some questions.

I'm looking a the RO_JA Formula 5's in 18's. I like wide(ier) wheels/tires. I like it when you look at the back when you are on the road and there are some big fat tires on it. I love that. I'm also thinking about Tein Flex coil-overs so keep that in mind. Questions are.

Front:
What width of wheel fits best for a 240 and will look wide but not widier then the rear?
Also to go along with that...what off-sets would be best? Now i like it when the wheel/tire comes out to the side of the car...but i dont like it when its 3-6's " out of the car too (low rider look).

Rear:
Everything i said for the front, only i want widier wheels in the back then front.

Tire's:
What size of tires would be best for the front and back? I also like it when there is a little more tire then rim...i like my tire's sticking out alittle.

If anyone can help on this that would be great. Thanks every one.

general rule is that the lower the number on the offset, the wheel will stick out more.

example. most honda's offset is around the mid 50's. while the stock S14's offset is 42. if you try to put those honda rims on the 240. the rim will be soo tucked in, the rim will hit the suspension. not to mention that it will not clear the 300ZX brakes up front if you want to do a conversion.

the general rule is that you want a offset that is atleast 35 for a 9 inch wheel in the back, and you can run a 30 offset for a 8 inch wide wheel in the front.

Hey TatII, do you think +30 offset, with 8.5 inch front and 9 in the rear would fit fine?? I also have coilovers put in so there will be less space. How about.

Opps...dude...if you want to know what off-sets and stuff are then go to http://www.1010tires.com/tech.asp

But that doesn't tell the specs on what fits 240's and thats what i want. Something that tells me all about that stuff for the 240.

if you want to know about offsets go to 240sxforums.com. also for a 8.5 inch with a 30 mm offset, it might rub in the front becusae theres less space up front then there is in back. but most people don't run them that wide in the fronts anyways. if you put 8.5 wide wheels in front thats pretty much putting a 245mm wide wheel up front.

^ hmm, how about 8 inch with 30 mm offset? and 9 inch 30 mm offset in the back?? Will that be good? Goin to call the wheel max sometime this week-end to order rims, would love to know the ideal offset+width. I like wide wheels also stickin out a lil bit (stock offset is fugly)
