Dash lights and SRS problem

today i was installing a new cd deck into the car. we pulled all the wires out and connected them via same color connection. well we couldnt get the constant to work properly. long story short when we did connect the cd player it turned on the whole dash panel as if the car lights were on. after pulling all the wiring out of the cd player unhooking everything the dash lights wont turn on and the SRS light is stuck on. all the gauges work properly by the way. thanks for any help!

well do this.. disconnect your battery and reconnect....

did you check all the fuses? You might have blown something...

you said that you have all the wires disconnected hanging in the dash opening? sound like a hot wire is shorting somewhere

everything is hooked up now. all fuses are good. any other ideas?

make sure all the fuses are there, my srs light was on and i checked my fuses and one was actually missing. check that one more time, its the reverse lights fuse thats connected to the srs system.
