What is this part?

Can someone tell me what this part is that slots in at the back of the hood near the front windshield. There are 2 of these contollers or whatever they are side by side and they have hoses connected to them. My part is broken and therefore can't read the number. It is only available on Vr4 model. So I am assuming it has something to do with the turbos.

as you can see it is damaged and glued up.
At the base it has a plug which it plugs into.

What is it and how much and where to replace it...

it looks like a boost solenoid. I'm guessing its right behind the throttle body up against the firewall. If so that is a solenoid, look and see where the hoses go. If the hoses go to the turbos (wastegates) then it is a boost solenoid, and instead of getting a new solenoid, just get a proboost mbc which is only like $18 shipped.

If I don't have one of these installed and the hoses are just rerouted then I shouldn't be able to take advantage of my full turbos right?

Because when I gun the car past the turbo limit it bogs down; so If I want to go fast I have to hold the car around the 10 psi mark and not exceed 10.

So if i got one of these manual boost controllers then I would have a dead end electrical plug right? I already have that now anyways. Apparently that electrical booster is about $300 I hear.
