Hello everyone :newbie: here!
I just bought a 1993....well, it's on a truck right now coming from the US (I live in Canada) I have a question in regards to the airbag steering wheel. Did all 1993 del Sols come with this as a standard feature?
I have an aftermarket steering wheel right now, but might have to swap it back to the SRS airbag wheel for the Federal inspection here in Canada.
Thanks for the great site!

Um I think it is standard for all models but not sure. I just bought a 1995 S model a few weeks ago and it has one.
Why would federal inspectors need the airbag wheel?

Hey Jorsher,
I am pretty sure it's because of a "safety thing" If it was a stock feature it's on the checklist of requirements.
I was hoping that I wouldn't have to change it, but I doubt it will pass otherwise. I'll have to put a daytime running light kit on it too. Here it is http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2481909009&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT
I'll change a few little things (like the decals) but I haven't even seen it yet...other than these pics.....I do this kind of thing....just waiting to learn my lesson...LOL

Well I'm glad my car won't ever get inspected here.

Sol~VX:
First thing's first. Remove the wing and destroy the Altezza tail lights. :p j/k Seriously though, looks like you bought an Si with a swap, and all Si's had airbags on the wheel.
That aside, steering wheel airbag is a standard feature for all Del Sol models for all years here in the USA. I don't think it's a requirement for inspections though. Depends on your area I suppose.
