hey, Im Melvyn, and yes i have a 97 grand prix Gtp (3.8L supercharged)
Its sick quick (compared to my 87 Trans Am 350 (peice of junk)). I usually take my car out to the 1/4 mile track hear in Enis Tx (Texas motorplex). Its good fun and i have not broken to much in the prosses.
I am glad to say she runs 14.3 @ about 96mph with just minor mods(takes a mustang Gt stock!!) not bad for a sudo family car (graciery carrier). Im hear to help if i can and hopefully get some help when need. Its gonna be fun you guys.

Hi Melvyn.Welcome to the Forums.Looks like you have a pretty quick grand prix.
And yes your grand prix can take a 98 gt or older stock. But a 99-04 mustangs gt's are just as fast or faster stock.
Good luck with your grand prix.

Hi Melvyn,
I have a 1998 GTP. I'm running a 3.4" pulley and a Thrasher cold air box, a long with a few other things. I have never had any Mustang give me a race. The GTP is one of the only "bolt on"cars left around. The pulley and cold air box is a good start, for around $350.00. Should bring your HP up about 40 to 45 horse power. But your days of running reg gas is over. Don't even try. Also the over flow bottle from your car won't work. You have to use the one from the 1999 Grand Prix. You can get one for around $25.00 at any dealer. Email me and I will give you some sites to go to.
Good luck and have fun with your GTP.
