I have a 94 Suburban I am thinking about installing a Flowtech shortie header.
Has anybody else tried one? What kind of mileage/ power increase did you get?

You would probably be better off with a Hi-Flow Air intake/Cat-back exhaust system.
Either way...Gains will be minimal.

If Horsepower is what you're after, you'll need more than a HI-Flow Intake/Cat-Back system.
Minimal gains to me would be 10-15 HP/12-18 FT lbs. And probably not in the RPM range that the truck is normally driven in.
Just putting Shorty headers on would be even less...

I had been thinking about putting some on my suburban... I usually drive 80-90 miles an hour, damn thing cuts off at 100... I was told they help with heat and save on gas, any of this true??

Technically...Yes.
A free flowing exhaust system is a cooler exhaust system.
Headers combined with a Cat-back, free flowing muffler and a Cold-Air intake will show MPG improvement.
1-2 mpg better provided you drive like you did before the modifications.
Too many variables to be accurate.

On my Suburban I'm running the Gibson SS short headers & I couldn't tell any difference from the headers I since then added a Flowmaster 40 series that helped a little bit.
