Real or a Hoax?

Just in today (October 4th, 2001) from Lamborghini. For many years original car manufactures have regarded the kit car industry as a threat. Ferrari spent thousands of dollars suing Kit Car manufactures to prevent them from manufacturing there replicas. Take this letter for what it is worth. Is it a Hoax? Many say yes. We emailed Lamborghini the week we received it and still have not received a reply. If it is a Hoax I should warn the "maker of this fax" that impersonating a company or individual is illegal. Ray at IFG says he believes it was a Hoax because he received two of them with the spelling of the name different in both. Ray does not appear to be threatened or scared and will continue to produce their replicas.
In my opinion (Not of KitCarMagazine.com) this whole thing stinks. If real, this is not necessary. Inferior parts maybe but only a fool would not be able to tell the difference between a real Lamborghini and a kit. If a hoax, it takes a sick warped individual who gets his kick off of "terrorizing" the industry. This person is either jealous that he or she does not own such a fine KitCar or bought a kit couldn't put it together and is now trying to scare the manufacture. This is a crazy world we live in... KitCar builders UNITE! - Jason
