I have had my dle sol sitting in my driveway for about 3 months now waiting for me to sell my other car. When changing the wheels today i realized that my car has 4 wheel disc brakes. i origanally thought that the car was an s trim but now i think it may be si. It has the matching stripes on the seats and cruise control. are these options avalible on the s?????

i'm pretty sure the 4 wheel disc only came on the VTEC model. Just pop your hood and get the engine code for us, that will be the easiest way to tell. The code will be where the engine meets the transmission, below the distributer.

Or maybe they did a conversion? I heard that it all just bolts on because a junk yard said they'd sell me the entire rear suspension/brakes/axles etc for 300 and I was considering it.

It will all just bolt on, correct?

I have an SI and I have 4 wheel disc. D16Z6 engine. RPM redlines at 7100.

Yeah I thought I read that the SI model had 4 wheel disc brakes.

The Si's came with 4-disc brakes. The VTEC models just had larger rotors. The S models could have matching stripes, dunno about cruise control though. What's your redline on the tach and are the spark plugs toward the front of the valve cover or the rear?

Or you could just look on the block itself and see what motor you have. That'll tell you right away what car you've got.

i tried looking at the stamp on the block but its basically unreadable, the redline is over 7k so its got to be the si.

Yeah, that should be the Si. The S had rear drums. The valve cover should have VTEC on it somewhere as well if it's an Si. The S was the only non-VTEC model.
