shift point changes

my 94 camaro shifts at 6200 rpm . im afraid this is too high. running 4l60e tranny and 5.7 lt-1 . Im not good at electronic stuff . anyone tell me how to readjust it to a lower setting , or is this normal

You can buy a hypertech programmer and change the shift points and lower your rev limiter Or you can back off the throttle when it gets up that high. Your car might have been programmed with a programmer already and set to shift way into redline.

yeah it sounds like someone already got to the ecu, im pretty sure the factory shift point is dead-on 5500...
