Hi, i was woundering if the b18c1 motor out of the GSR, would be a good fit into a 5th gen. Hatch. What draw backs would this motor have, and would there be to much power that i wouldnt have much traction???
im thinking about getting a GSR engine or getting a b16a2, which do u think i should get, even tho the GSR has 10 more HP, and hell of alot more torque, just wanting peoples opinions.
thanx

get the b18c....has a better powerband...more tqe up top
The b16a hatch will get off the line faster because it won't be spinning the tires...but if you put some drag radials on the b18hatch it will pull hard on the b16a throughout. It's an overall better motor for FI and NA. I would get the GSR longblock (OBD1), S2 IM, S2 P28, and a ITR tranny (LSD). If your still not hooking up, check out the z10 radius arms.

I would go with the JDM B16A over the B18C1. The B16A motor can be better tuned IMO, and they say it is the best motor honda has ever made. The B16A2 wont fit in a 92-95 HB because of the OBDII. The B16A2 is meant for 96+ Civics. So like i said IMO, i would go with the JDM B16A. :D
