2000 accord power seat problem

I am having problems sliding my power driver's side seat forward and backward. I guess it's more with sliding it back. It seems to slide back a little bit and then just stops. I opened the plastic panel to which the switch is connected to and saw a black rectangular case that has a set of wires connected to the front and another set of wires connected to the back of this rectangular case. I wonder if one set of wires controls power to move forward and the other set to move backward. If so, maybe I need to change the black rectangular case which may be like a battery pack or something like it. Anyone have experience with similar problems? Please help.
