Fuel Sender Pinhole Leak

Hello out there...
I have a 1995 Chevy Balazer and just installed a rebuilt 4.3 Vortec. My original motor spun a bearing at 85k.
Anyway, I have noticed a fuel smell originating from the gas tank area. Turns out that there is a pin hole leak on the pressurized line originating from the fuel tank. Is there a quick fix, or bite the bullet and pay 500 bucks for the mechanic to repair? Will JB Weld work?

JB Weld is awesome stuff. It will probably work fine if the line is a metal gas line. My father-in-law and I used it to fix a pretty substantial leak at the bottom of his 55 Chevy Bel Air, and it worked fine (gas doesn't seem to phase it, once it's cured). Just make sure the line is clean and dry, so the JB Weld can get a hold on it while it cures.
Should you feel the leak is dangerously large (i.e., not just a drip), you should probably get the line replaced, though. No need to be trailing gas everywhere like a malotov cocktail waiting to blow. :icon16:

Well, it turns out that the leak is "misting" out of the fittings and not the actual line itself. The fittings are really rusted. I tried to clean the best I could. I put some JB weld on the fittings, but still have a misting of gas.
Somewhat feel like "Boris" if I drive the malotov cocktail.
Anyway will probably replace the whole sender unit.
Thanks
