Not much of need help. Its more of ranting and raving. Spent the week dropping in my rebuilt motor/turbo tranny and a lock right. Dropped it back on the ground and started to back down my driveway and hear a slight clicking, so locker was letting go. Then driving down the hill it was clicking so loud my nieghbor could hear it over a block away. Time to rip apart the rearend and check everything all over again. Muh! Oh well, maybe ill stick some traction bars on while im at it. And reinstall my sway bar off of a grand national.
Still in look of a 1jz front clip locally...

Well I fixed the problem. The ebrake cable was getting caught by the tire and the clicking at the point where it attaches to the frame. So I took some brass rod and pulled it back over. Reason I have to do that is because of the supra rims are so wide.
While I was at it, I took some 321 stainless steel and made a custom exhaust from the header collector back to a turbo muffler and out all in 2 1/2 inch. Looks really nice, and sounds nice too.

I'm wondering what truck you installed the 1jz in because i'm going to try to put it in my lowered '91 P-U. The question is "would it work?"

I havent put a 1jz into anything yet. Its a 88' pickup short box rolling on mk4 supra wheels, so far the only person who has stuck mk4 wheels on. Whole rearend narrowed and all that jazz.
I dumped doing a 1jz, 7mgte or if i found a 2jz and bought a 03 yamaha R1 which is turning into my track bike. And this spring I will buying my roommates virgin 03' silver/gray hayabusa with 700 miles. So excited.
If I decided to do anything to that truck ill find a SR20DET and slap it in, machine the valve cover to say toyota and call it good. Crossbreeding yes? I dont care, and if you got a problem bout it, eat one :P
PS > to answer your question. IT CAN WORK. If you cant fabricate your going to pay someone a lot of cash to do it. But if you can, go for it! Be a fun project.
