When my car is running and the A/C is on, the right side fan (sitting in the car) will turn on. The other fan (left side) doesn't move. Will this one only work if the vehicle starts gettin hot? My car is running warm but the guage keeps moving from the middle to hot and back down. Turning the A/C on and off has different effects, sometimes it makes the guage go down, while other times it makes the guage rise. I'm gonna change the thermostat and have changed the rad cap. May even put in a new water pump, radiator, relay switch or fan motor. Just not sure yet. Its too late now but i'm gonna tweak it all in the morning. Any Suggestions?

well the left side, drivers side fan is the ac fan which turns on when you put the ac on to cool down the ac compressor.

Thats the one thats not workin. But the other one is turnin on and off with the A/C. I'll just replace both and the relays.

you should take the fans off and check out the wiring, making sure the wiring is going to the right fan. cause it sounds like your ac fan wiring is on the wrong fan. and you might need to hookup your other fan to another wire that is powered when the key is on

Other Fan Works when hooked directly to the battery. I'm assuming its just the fan Relay switch but i don't know how they work. There is power going into the relay but not comming out. I'm wonderin if i should just rig a bypass switch to the interior of my car so i can flip it if the car starts to get too warm. Thats how my 67 Chev used to be.

i did that to my car but there are a couple of draw back, 1. you gotta remember to turn it on, 2. you gotta remember to turn it off.

but a good thing is that you can turn it on to keep your car cool

could wire it to the ignition so it comes on when you start your car.

Both fans should turn on when your a/c turns on. You might have a bad relay, sounds like your condensor fan needs a new relay. The condensor fan is the one on the driver's side, the radiator fan is the passenger side one. If I remember correctly the condensor fan relay is right by the fan itself. To make sure it is the relay, swap the relay with the radiator fan relay, they are both the same. If your condensor fan turns on when you turn on the A/c, you will need a new relay.

I just went to a wreckin yard today and snatched up a relay. It made the fan turn on when the ignition is turned on. So i think i'll start with the relays for both. But my temp guage goes from medium to hot and back down and its all over the place. But when i stop it still goes to hot. So i think i need a new temp sensor. if that doesn't work i'll just get a new radiator off of Ebay for $80.

i dont think you need a new radiator, but i have never seen it or know if is leaking. IF you do need a new one for some reasion then goto Auto Zone and get one there for $80.00. i am on radiator #3. first one i leaned on thea intake tube that is attached to the top of the radiator and it cracked it (that tube is now long gone). #2 i got from auto zone and one vary hot summer day the rad exploaded at the seams(came to find out the fan wasnt working!!! might wanna think about that) well auto zone replaced it for free! :sunglasse $0.00 just make sure they have your info in the comp when you buy it(the first one). good luck.

you dont need a new radiator
It sounds like you have air trapped in the system, try bleeding it. Also be sure your running 50% antifreeze 50% water. I'm dumbfounded by the number of people who run just water.

I just bled it until it started flowing out of the leak bolt or whatever and it was running out smooth with no bubbles. i also let it run with the rad cap off and turned the heater and a/c off and on to try and get the bubbles out. I put the pre mixed 50%/50% into it so i don't think that is a problem. its just getting warm for some reason.
