Day Time Running Lights

How do you shut off your Running Lights? It would be nice to run with the parking lights on when i want to. Any help would be nice. :naughty:

What year GP. It depends on year.

98 - simply pull the fuse in the glove box
other years - pull the fuse in the glove box, if a beeping/clicking noise is heard they you'll need to disconnect the relay on the drivers side.

PUll the access panel on the drivers side, near door jam, you'll see a silver heat sink w/ a connector pluged into it. Its more towards the front of the engine behind the dimmer/light control switch.

Not trying to jump in front of you here Ripn, but disconnecting the heat sinc is enough. Don't remove the fuse on that model. I know a few people who have all sorts of misc clicks, and accessories not working when the fuse was removed.

Thanks, this helps me out too. Late at night I like to be "stealth" with the lights off and haven't been able to do so since I've owned this car. But seriously, I really would like to turn my lights off here and there. This helps a lot, thanks again.

This won't help you at night. Day Time Running Lights come on at a reduced brightness any time the car is running, in gear, with the parking brake disengaged. You know, the headlights that are on during the day. The link I included will turn these off.

You're talking about the automatic headlights that come on at dark. Not the same thing....and not controlled the same way. If you want to be able to turn your lights off at night you'll need one of these. http://www.zzperformance.com/zzp/products/auto_sensitivity_light.htm
