Is this logical?

I just bought a 91 Civic DX 4 dr. (Logical)

What i'm wondering is if there should be a piece of foam in between the a/c condensor and the Radiator. I took it out cause the car was running hot and i'm hoping that will help. I'm assuming that no air was being allowed to pass through either of them which was keeping them warm. Have you ever heard of putting foam there?

They do it in the winter.So the heater constantly blows warm air.If you live where theres snow put the foam back in the winter.

I live in Vegas and its gettin to 110. I don't think i need the foam. But thank you thats what i was thinkin. The guy i bought the car from said it was keeping the condensor cooler which i couldn't figure out how when its not allowing air to pass.
