which car is better???? 240 or the mx 6??

240sx = RWD, WAY easier to achieve high HP #'s.

MX6 = Much better looking, and more satisfying to own. Very easy to make unique.

i know this is about 2 weeks old now, but the 240 does not have more power than the mx-6.

mx-6 - 2625 lbs. 160 hp 159ft/lbs 7.6 0-60 15.8 1/4mile
240sx- 2699lbs. 155hp 160ft/lbs 7.9 0-60 16.1 1/4mile

both cars are stock mazda mx6 ls vs. 240sx se

Stock? I personally think the MX6 is better. There are far fewer on the road. If you want to mod for speed, than the 240. The MX6 is usually cheaper, too. Personal preference there.

i love the mx6 and personally will be getting one. there are not alot of aftermarket parts at all for the mx6, but for the average joe in school like myself its perfect. honestly can you afford 2 grand for a turbo kit? it all depends on what you want for "better car" looks, originality, moderately fast w/o emptying the bank mx6. if you want now over plaey(still love the 240), capability of a speed machine, but alot of money needs to be spent go with the 240

ya, the MX6 has a fair amount of aftermarket parts, but most of them are appearance related (most parts are for the 2G, 93-97 model). For the same money, the 240 will prolly be faster. But FAR less unique. You should try em both, I think you will like the MX6 better. They just have a better feel and connection with the road.

If your going to get an mx6, you may as well just get a probe. Its the same car, but WAY cheaper just because it says "ford" instead of "mazda"

Ford Probe and MX-6 have the same engine series. And the KLZE (J-Spec 2.5L) will fit quite easily into either of them. Or you could keep the KLDE from the MX-6 and strap some good ol forced induction. ;) I would go with the MX-6 but thats because Im a Mazda junkee

Hmm which car would be more relible as a everyday driver??? and one more question is the mx 6 a front wheel drive In my opinion I think a rear wheel drive is better and more fun ....the price of turbo can be low if you just look around I think making the 240 a good car.. however I do agree that the mx 6 seems to be a uncommon car making a question which car to get

length, weight,and height. basically the same engine, im sure the drivetrain is the same as well than. im talking exterior though not the engine and all.

i like the mx6. body kits are more exotic (i think so at least), KLZE motor available, you can have show and go. i like probes too except for the dumb pop-up headlights and the flamer-sounding name

main thing seporating these cars is the drivetrain. MX6 is FWD, and 240 is RWD. most people prefer RWD, but the MX6 will do better in a straight line.

hmmm thats something but I see more 240 sx's then mx6 why is that??? and the last time I checked this forum people were asking about proplems with the car is me or does the 240 seem to last longer and be more reliable then the mx6???? or even the probe for that matter

the probes have more problems,240sx handing, but overall 93 and up mx-6 nice car handling, performance,style I could go on and on about them.

I agree with the test drive them both part...See what you like the best...I prefer the RWD handling of the 240...

Is the weight on the 93 Probe GT and the MX-6 roughly the same?

the question is what do you want your car to do how do you want your car to drive,in a rwd your going to spend a lot more time at the light trying to catch traction

I sense increased clutch replacement intervals in this driving style...

i dont really rev it up that high like 3500 rpms i blew my klo3 up doing that now ive got the ze in my my car and ive noticed more tire spin off the line
