If you didn't already know, it's been raining pretty hard in Houston for the past entire week. It got really bad today and me entire street was covered with water in someplaces up to knee level. Fortunately, the houses around where I live are elevated on small hills, so no homes on the nearby streets got water in them. Then this (http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/news/062504_local_drown.html) happened earlier today about 4 or 5 miles from my house.

Just to show you some of the idiocy that exists in mankind, this was a quote by a lady on camera.

It wasn't really the kids fault since the parent's weren't even there, but I'd think that a 14 year old kid would have the sense to know not to go jump into a flooded ditch, especially one that you can see the current moving in. He was over visiting a friend's house when it happened. If I were the parent's, I would think a lawsuit of some sort for it.
