Hey guys n gals. I'm planning on going to a friends who runs a muffler shop, were gonna make (bend since he runs a muffler shop with a pipe bender...lol) me some new pipes that go directly where the stock pipes go. Instead of a "y" pipe and running single exhaust were gonna run 2 pipes next to each other all the way back in the stock location. There actually is enough room to run both pipes next to each other over the rear end. Were also going to put several beads down the pipes to make sure they dont rattle together. Can you guys think of anything im missing and what do you guys think?

We are going to run them side by side so there shouldnt be any clearance issue, unless theres an issue with the stock clearance.

maybe throw in an H pipe (like they have on corvettes to equalize pressures between the 2 sides) or an X pipe (better than an H pipe)

you might have a clearance issue with the trac bar, where the panhard rod attaches to the chassis. apparently there is a clearance issue for 3" piping over the rear-axle, bmr sells a part that changes the angle on the trac bar so you have more clearance. might wanna look into that...

here's the site that has the part im talkin about, halfway down the page, i dont know if you would really need it or not: http://www.bmrfabrication.com/F-bodySuspension.htm

I was thinking about putting an "x" pipe on it since the drivers side would be longer because im going to run the duels in the stock location. My freind also has a couple vette mufflers that I was thinking bout putting on once the pipes go over the rear end. What ya think that will sound like?
