I have a 97 Ls 105K on it and just started to notice tranny fluid on the ground after I drive it. It seems to be comming out the over flow tube on the top of the tranny. I was considering a complete tranny flush, but I heard you actually shouldn't do that with a tranny with as many miles on it that I have. Does anyone have an idea or should I just drop the pan and put a new filter in it. Tranny still shifts mint.
thanks

If fluid is coming out the vent tube, I would check the fluid level and for the possibility of the trans overheating

Hey, I ran into the same problem. Change fluid and filter, then get a tranny flush. I do tranny flushes on cars w/high miles all the time, never had a problem. The fluid blowing out of the dipstick tube is usually cloged filter. Not leaving oil pass, so it blows out the next thing it can.
