monte carlo having problems starting

I have a 95 monte carlo that only wants to start half the rime.It is not the battery.i have no idea and was wondering if anybody had ever had this done to them.Like sometimes when you go out to start it it will start them when you turn it off theres a chance it will not start .Then after a while if you try it it will eventually start .Any ideas???????????

My 1998 monte carlo had problems with intermittent starting. It would just click, but then it would eventually start. My security light would come on sometimes. Using my second key it would start fine. If the chip is bad in your key, the car won't start.

yeah i have a 97 monte and it does the exact same thing u try to start it the first time and it wont do anything than if u just try it again than it works no clue whats goin on
