I need to get new tires for my 99 gt and have narrowed down to 2 brands and I would like everyone's opinion.

Kumho Ecsta-I don't know the specific number but one of the variants of this is supposed to be darn near a street-legal road race tire.

I have some el cheapo Defender ZR's on mine, they are supposed to be a BFG Comp T/A knock off. I like'em. They are pretty sticky.

BTW Goodyears suck if you want handling. The soft sidewall issues of their truck tires carries into their passenger car tires.

If I had my choice of any tire, I would go with a BF Goodrich Comp T/A ZR. I think they discontinued them, though. They never would have been able to sell their new G-Force T/A's with the Comps still there. The Comp T/A was a hundred dollars cheaper per tire and didn't give up any performance to the G-force.

Kuhmo makes a decent tire. I went with the new g-force TA and I am happy with how they handle.
