2001 GMC Sonoma Keyless Entry Programming

I just bought a 2001 GMC Sonoma 4x4 and the dealer only provided me with one remote. I just bought an extra remote and I wanted to know how to program it. Does anyone know how to program the remote for this vehicle? The numbers on the back of the remote read:

GM/UTA:15732803

FCC ID: KOBUT1BT

CAN: 1983 101 393

You have to program these key fobs w/ a Tech 2.. In other words the dealer has to do it, Hint, see your salesman & tell him whats up, he should take care of it for you. That is if they care about customer service.

While holding the driver's side door "unlock", turn ignition on then off 3 times.

Locks should cycle lock and unlock.

After they cycle, hold the lock and unlock buttons at the same time on the first key fob, hold for 20 seconds or so, or until the locks cycle again. Then hold the lock and unlock on the next key fob and so on.

After you have programmed the all the key fobs (up to 4) then turn the key to on for 10 seconds, off 10 seconds and give the fobs a try.
