Oil life Monitor

How do you reset the Oil Life monitor on a 1998 Buick Regal?

On my girlfriend's '99 Oldsmobile Intrigue, you turn the key on (but don't start the engine) and slowly press the gas pedal to the floor and and slowly let up on it 3 times within 5 seconds. If you do this successfully you'll see the "Change Oil" light start to blink. I would assume it is the same procedure for the Regal.
