Power moonroof Trouble...HELP!!!

Has anyone experienced this????
My sunroof will move back and forth without any problems, HOWEVER, as it comes forward it will not raise flush with the roof, therefore it will not close all the way.
i cannot see any visible obstructions. The moonroof motor sounds like it always has with no strange sounds. The switch responds fine in both directions.

My car has 187,000 miles and its due for another timing belt. I'm hoping to be able to price out this problem before going forward.
