does anyone know a general idea as to how much it would cost to overhaul a 3.4 liter motor?

well it depends on what your going to be doing. are you gonna do the work yourself, or have a mechanic do it? are you gonna be putting performance internals in or just factory stuff? how much of an overhaul are you gonna do: a complete upper and lower rebuild, or just a valve-train redo? let us in on some more info...

i would think close to the same as any other motor.

if you get all your parts from like advance auto or wherever i wouldnt think that it would cost more than 1000 dollars at the very most. ive never actually looked for stock parts so ironically i cant give you a very good estimate, sorry...

i found a lower rebuild kit for 650 on the net and that was with a five minute google search. im sure you could find something lower, so i would think around a grand maybe to rebuild the whole upper and lower...

you should be able to search for prices on all the parts you need on advance or autozone's websites too.
