ok the RS and GS recommends regular gas.
the GT and GTS recommends premium gas.

my point is do u really have to use Premium gas on the Gt & GTS?
i was bout to get 3000gt until i found out it NEEDS premium.. gas r high nowadays... does any1 wit a GT or GTS actually use premium gas for their car? i found 2 eclipse... $11g GT wit only 27k miles.. a $11 RS wit only about 30k miles. i wanna save money.. so yea... if i dont have to use premium gas i might as well get a GT or GTS right?

Well the difference in the Eclipse RS and GS , compared to a GT or GTS is the engine. A RS and a GS are four cylinders while the GT's are v-6's. A v-6 uses slightly more gas and since its made to run 91 or higher u should put 91 or higher octane. But botu the models, a RS is a 4cylinder eclipse"low grade" with no power windows and locks, while a gs is a lil better with power door locks and windows, and a GT is a V-6 and a GTS is about the best of all since u have the sport package with all the goodies. If ur young and gas money is a problem, get the 4 cylinder rs its much cheaper but the V-6 would be way better since its faster

the 1 i posted was only around 24k miles and only 11g and its a good color. yours was 17g's (GT rite?) and it was around 44k miles. which 1 is a better deal? even though if the models r diff

well that all depends on how much money u got to spend and what you want

thinking bout after getting 1 i will put some white 16 or 17 rims if they will fit and then a big spoiler since RS dont have em and a good sound system.. altogether it will cost as much as my sis new 04 corolla S which is 17g's total after tax.

it would be nice if a eclipse can have a hardtop as a convert like the 3000gt's

yup..u don't have to use premium gas, but it will cause you engine to start knocking and then the ecu will retard the timing and u will lose power.

damm... would there be much of a diff if i get a GT instead of a RS.. as in insurance.. money for gas..

yes your insurance will be different. i dont know how much but you will be paying more for the GT. and since the GT has a V6, it gets less gas mileage than an RS would, so you would use more money for gas.
