Supercharging an SL

I wanna supercharge my 94 DOHC. right now its on stock internals with an intake and custom exhaust. I want to make it stronger so what are my options. I know about RIPP mods but they dont have a kit for the DOHC, only prototypes based on the SOHC kits. also there is Knight Turbos Eaton supercharger. very reliable and long lasting but it only adds about 60HP which kinda sucks for $3500.00. Also I've heard nightmares about the jackshafts and bearings that go bad on the Vortec based units. So which is the best supercharger out there for these cars?

upgrade the pistons, new fuel injectors, intake exhaust, and new chip

Only run about 7-9 psi...dont run anymore!!!! But hey since the compression is higer in the sl than the vr4 u only need low boost numbers to be fast.

Whats the best first few mods to make power gains wise? All the car came with was a K&N notfilter (note thats the fipk, just a new filter thats supposedly a little better). I don't have too much cash so anything more than a cat back is too much for me to spend.

see the thing about supercharging is that you cant mess with the pistons. there are two kinds of aftermarket pistons: 1. high compression for those who want a powefull n/a car. or 2. low compression for those who have turbos. no one (not that I know) makes strong medium compression pistons for these cars.

RIPP is about to make a kit and currently taking preorders. Check out the FWD section of 3si. and the group buy section.

Probably because he already has an SL, and a supercharger is easier to find then a good vr4.
PS, there are no chips for 3000gts.
(don't mean to come off as a d!ck)

No, the question is valid. the reason I cant get a VR-4 is cause the money isnt mine! I just got approved a sponsorship for the car and the sponsors will be handleing the expensses, but its has to be spent on this car. so If I turbo charge it I will also deplete the well, I figure a supercharger is more cost effective.

lol, ok the speed limiter.....but yeah the supercharger will be nice, u will never have to build up boost. Also if its a show car u really dont need a lot of hp.

Well with FWD, the more hp, the more traction issues. With some bolt ons(intake, exhaust, and downpipe) a supercharger would work quite well. And as said before...0 turbo lag
