I need lots of help

Hi, i just got my license on tuesday. On wed. i went muddin. I got mud in the intake, and in my engine. We took out spark plugs and drained the oil, and tried to manually cranck the engine, but its locked up. Should i replace the whole engine or does neone have some suggestions for me. I hate to break it to you, nut you have you work cut out for you... if you got water in the pistons like that, it probably cooled off way to fast and sizzed up.... your gonna have to rebuild or buy a new engine. :sorry:

Well, u think it would be cheaper to buy a used engine, or rebuild it.

Cheaper for a used engine, smarter to get a new one.

If we didnt have the same truck it would be different, but I know you did something dumb for youre engine to Hydroblock after muddin one time. seriously, how the hell did you get water in the intake without going underwater? I have a conical intake system on mine and i still never had anything like this happen to me.

But sorry bro youre engine is fvcked. The reason you cant get it to turn over is because all that dirt and shlt is trapped beteen the pistons and cylinder walls. If it does turn over, it ill not last very long becasuse all that dirt will be grinding and scratching up youre cylinders and pistons. all you can do is try to get it started and flush it out. but there will still be alot of damage done so dont expect it to last another 100k miles.

you could disassemble the block and clean the cylinder walls and pistons if you know what youre doing.

Don't waste your time trying to clean, will do more harm then good if you don't know exactly what your doing...Rebuild or Replace, my friend.

Could be a good learning experience for you. At this point you really have nothing to lose except time if you were to tear the engine down and clean it out. Odds are it's already seen some damage, but if nothing else you'd get to see just how this impacted your engine.

Everyone is right, you're probably better off with a new engine. But sometimes that's just not a realistic view to think that someone can just drop $$ on a new engine. So you might either find yourself becoming really handy, and dismantling your engine to clean it out, and hope for another 40k miles, or find a rebuilder.

damn that sucks. sad too... but what can i say, the guy that owned my 94 was drivin down the highway and lost a freeze plug, fried the engine...
