the best ghetto security system

damn all the stories ive read on this thread is crazy ... i my self have to take alot of precautions cuz im always chillin in brooklyn new york VERY GHETTO ... my boys out there have devised a very clever ghetto security system ... i took off my plastic steering wheel column and exposed the metal column under the brake pad that where the steering wheel connects with the bottom part of the column and thats where there is a little space where u can slip in a big ass lock but before u put it in u have to turn the steering wheel all the way to what ever side the side walk is after uve done that then slip in the lock and those bastards will never know why the steering wheel doesnt turn ... i also take out my ecu and i have a chain on my trunk that only lets me open half way and i have to stick my hand in and open with key ... those bastards will never steal my subwoofer

I would think if they wanted your car bad enough, just buy some bolt cuters, cut the lock, cut the chain, and the ole' screw driver in the ignition and then BAM!!! no more car.....not that I've done this before or anything........

or you could just find out which wire on the harness at the ecu is the power for it and then splice into it and put atoggle switch somewhere hidden so you dont have to keep removeing the ecu. just flip a switch and go.

Removing the ECU is pretty good ghetto security..

When I stay at my friends in Toronto I usually just take out the spark plug wires for the night.. Takes about 1 minute and you're pretty garanteed they're not going to take it.

hey Posey88cvic4dr i guarantee ur ass will not be able to cut the lock i use its a thick ass 50 dollar lock and the chain is this heavy ass thick chain that i dont even think u can break with a bullet lol if u want my car its gonna ur gonna have to bring a saw ... the chain is those they use to lock stores up with ... im telling u the only way they taking my car is if they come with a flat bed and i have yet to devise a new way for that not to happen lol

i have diamond tipped drill bits and diamond edged saw blades[and so do many many decent carjackers, tis how my 97 mazda got jacked], 10 bucks says that thsoe two and a screwdriver gets me in your car and to the nearest gas station to fill up and drive to mexico

not with out my ecu u cant lol.... unless u push that mofo to the gas station ... of course the flat bed could take my shit thats the only way u can take my car is with a tow truck or a flat bed

oh shhite, forgot about that, nicely done...hmm...there has to be a way to stop a flatbed...i heard about a DIY motion sensing taser that mounts on the roof [inside the car]...try that?

yeah but if i do that then the guy dies and i go to jail not a good thing ... i know there has to be a way to stop the flat bed but for now im clueless on that one ... it takes me about 5 minutes to prepare my car every night and 10 minutes when i go to ny ... but its worth the feeling of security ...

put a hidden swtich on your fuel pump.

pull out the fuse for the ecu, the one under the hood in the box on the shock tower. i think its the first fuse (10A), that way i dont have to take my whole ecu.

yea but u can always use a paper clip or anything metal and thin to put in its place. im sure i would check that if i were stealing a car.

yeah you have a good point...but i dont have to worrie about my car being stolen where i am. now if i go to miami i never let the car out of my sight... if i do i manage to take the main relay with me ... on the 4door its a bitch to get out but its wouth the car still being there when i get back. i have never had a car stolen, but have had my 4door broken into. i guess they slim jimed it cuz the windows werent broken but the doors were open and just about everything they could grab really fast was gone including the cheap ass radio...

what would be nice is a taser in the door handle or a wired steering wheel... :evillol:

My security system is the top. First make it down my two and half mile dirt road and up my dirt path of a driveway if you can find it. Next get to my truck parked on the other side of the no-climb cattle fence with barbed wire on top. Then some how get into my truck which is parked next to my window without waking up my killer attack dogs(sorry they are just two jack russels). Then if you can get the truck started and out of there before i can get the .22 in my closet out and loaded, make it the two and half miles back down my road before i catch you on my 4-wheeler. My road turns almost every 20 yards so guess who can taker a corner faster.

By the way, my truck doesn't have a car alarm due to the fact my old civic had a car alarm that would go off in the middle of the night for no reason. Turns out the heifer in the back pasture would get out and lick my car setting off the alarm.
