does any body knows whats the difference between the ash ecu upgrade from z1motorsport and the ecu from JWT(jimwolftechnology) the only difference that i found was that z1motorsports ecu is like $300 and JWT is about $600 for the ztt.

i had the same exact question. except i have a non turbo. what exactly is the difference. i dont want to spend $200 - 300 less but end up replacing that with with the JWT in the long run.

Um did you guys consider the core-charge? I believe that Z1 does not include that price while JWT does... I BELIEVE. Why don't you call and ask?

JWT is the only company that I know of that knows how to reburn the ECU...I think all other companies get their computers from JWT.

i am pretty sure the $600 ecu also has a $500 core charge along with it that JWT makes. i researched this before a while ago. im not sure. i dont have time to re-research it but i am pretty sure they have a core charge too.

First off, you really have to think of Stillen not as a tuner company, even though they make alot of their own stuff, but as a catalog. Most of their parts are someone elses sold through them.

As for the Z1 and JWT...I don't know...but I do know that JWT makes some good ****. And I have called JWT more than a few times and they mostly are quick with you to begin with because they have to deal with so many idiots trying to bolt a turbo to their POS. Once the person on the other end of the line figures out that you know what you are talking about, and more importanly, that you will actually be buying alot of expensive parts from them, they warm up alot :D

Just be sure to know your stuff before trying to deal with anyone. Thats just good advice in general.

I hate people like that...yea, they have to deal with a lot of dipshits, but still...don't be a dick...then they love you when they smell the dollars...I hate that.

Hey you know, business is business and surviving at easy :)

Like the man said:

"This ain't some ****in charity auction."

And I did get the brush off the first time I called but its better now that I know their products well enough that we aren't confusing each other. That and I ordered parts. I think that helped alot too :D

my job is to take care of the pilots and their plane, so there is a lot of customer service, and no matter how much fuel they buy, i'm still not a dick to them. and believe me, i have to deal with a few stuck up snobs.

Damn right...I've been in the hospitality industry for 5 years and I guess it's kinda warped my business mind cuz it's hard for me to comprehend being an ass to my customers EVER. That's the ultimate no-no in foodservice. They can do just about anything short of shoot you in the face and you ALWAYS kill them with kindness...THAT is good business.
