Fuel Pump?

I have a 93 Honda Accord 10th Anniversary Edition and have replaced the fuel pump twice now within the last 2 years. Granted, I have used aftermarket ones, but I would have thought I'd get a few years out of both. I believe the first one I got at Autozone and the second I got at Hovis. My question is have any of you replaced your fuel pump and if so what type did you use? Has it given you many years performance and if so where did you get it? OR Am I better off paying the extra(much extra) price that the dealership charges?

well if you got 2 from auto parts stores and they both failed on you i would go oem. nothing better then oem

I can't answer your question at all, but I would say that you should probably change your filter while your at it and make sure you NEVER let your tank get near empty. I've had the problem of having to replace my fuel pump like that before, and it was because of all the sediment in my gas tank kept going into the fuel pump and clogging it. I brought it to a shop to have it worked on and they told me that that was the problem and that if I let the tank get too low they wouldn't warentee the pump again (i have no clue what brand pump they put in it though.) It really is a major pain in the ass having to get it changed out over and over again; i feel your pain. I had actually thought about having my buddy take out my gas tank and seeing if I could clean out the tank so I wouldn't have the problem anymore, but I ended up buying a new car and steer clear of shady gas stations that I've been told leave their gas containers wide open for leaves and dirt to get into. Sorry I couldn't answer your question, just thought I'd shell out that possibly useless info in the case it might help.

in a sort-of off-topic way, would an hig-performance fuel pump, rail, and injectors make a huge difference by themselves, or would some sort of fuel management system need to be implemented as well for performance gain?

ciVtec94........making those upgrades whould depend on mhat you currently have on your car. If you were to pu that stuff on a stock car you would probably blow it up or you would be running so right it would look like your car was on fire. That stuff is for seriuos all motor or an forced induction setup whether turbo or superchared.
