i need help with my 93 civic ex coupe, 230k miles, manual trans., i'm the original owner.
live in new england. starting last week, warm temp. afternoons (80+) after work (5pm+), car won't start. plenty of charge, can't seem to get gas. leave it, try again in morning when cooler, starts right up.
had been a long while between tuneups so had that done. was cool for the next 5 days until last night, when it was again over 80 degrees - same thing - can't seem to get any fuel. again, started right up this morning.
need to get it to my mechanic, but want to tell him all this without thinking I'm a dope. so, has anyone ever heard of this happening, and if so, what it turned out to be? obviously, the car has been great for me for over 11 years and it's probably nearing the end, don't want to put too much $ into it but want it fixed.
i need help, quick! thanks to all.

mine does it all the time. looked on the internet and it says it was the oxygen sensor that runs into the engine. can't really explain where it is at but it is a little plug that runs into the back of the engine. until you can replace it, all you have to do it wiggle it a little bit and it will start right up.
