Looks good so far. Who's kit is it. Looks like 1/24 scale?

What colour did you chose for the body?

Nice! Very cleanly done. Looking forward to seeing the body, too. What color are you painting it? Had any fit problems? I've heard this kit has one or two.

If you're interested in a suggestion, you might consider applying a wash of thinned black/dark brown to the engine to highlight some of the molded detail. This engine has alot of fine engravings, like the Porsche emblems on the cylander heads and the cooling fins on the enderside that could probably be beautifully emphasised with a bit of wash. It doesn't really make the engine look dirty, but it does give it alot of depth.

It's the Tamiya 1/24 kit. Someday (hopefully soon!) I'll get around to building one.

Sorry the kit is a Tamiya 1/24 scale Porsche 959, circa 1990...

I have applied a mild amount of weathering to the engine, including a new oil filter and engine decals. I think the pictures make it look deceivingly toy like.

Looks great, any reference pics you'd like to share? :D What color did you use on the interior, it looks great! Hope you'll paint it silver, that's my favorite color on them!

It's nice to see a build up of this car.

I like the unique way of 2-toning the interior. :)

SLK,
Nice engine detailing. I really like the silver on the intake manifold.
Interesting choice of color for the interior, should work well!
I know you'll do a fabulous job on this...just don't paint it gun-metal :evillol:
I want to be able to see those front/rear cooliing vents!
