Help from Canadadian X'ers

My search for the stock steel X wheels has been fruitless thus far, and I'm hoping some of you guys up in Canada can point me in the right direction. I've seen on here and a couple other places that Candadian dealerships are selling these rims for dirt cheap. Anybody got any ideas on where I should start looking?

BTW, I tried Capital Wheel out in Cali, but they are out of stock and weren't sure when they'd be getting any more in.

Thanks,
Dog

PNWX have been getting our steel rims from a local dealer here in Vancouver. However I think the shipping cost to VA would be pretty high.

There's a guy on this board called xcanuk who's in Montreal that might be able to help you. There also a few people from Toronto that post here.

I asked,.. my dealer has steel rims (15") for 59.99$Cdn + taxes (69$), normally he also gives me a garage discount which saves the taxes. I have no idea what shipping would involve, but I do run stateside a few times a year.
I also asked about rims that were swapped out from xterra buyers (cheaper), but 15" isn't the comman size on new X's anymore.

Thanks man. If you don't mind, where in Canada are you located? If you are in eastern Canada, it might not be too bad. Thanks

Montreal to be exact, I might be in the Southern Vermont area in March, and maybe tripping down to Florida in July.. depending when and where you want them.
How does the price compare to West Coast Canada ?

Call Rob Patriquin at Morrey Nissan in Burnaby, BC. Last time we bought they were at $15 CDN each. Shipping might be a bit much, due to the weight, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

and I thought my dealer was reasonable most of the time. I'm quite sure shipping would be less than 180$ (savings difference for 4).

Thanks again guys. I just called Morrey Nissan and they were $19.95 CDN. However, the lady I spoke with said she couldn't ship them to the states. Anybody have a solution to this problem?

Thanks

Maddog when do you want them? A few guys from Washington are coming up here at the beginning of Febuary. Maybe we could send a set back with them. They could then ship the stuff to you.

Scott,
Thanks for the offer, I might actually take you up on that. I first need to find out the shipping total from the PNW. If the shipping isn't too bad, I would really appreciate you guys helping me out like that. I'll work on getting a shipping quote next week and if I get some good news I'll get back to you. Thanks again for the offer, it is much appreciated.

Let me know what you guys decide, the dealership is not too far away from where I live and I could pick them up anytime.

I picked up some very nice finished steel wheels at Discount Tire for about $30 a piece. They are good lookin and cheap - better looking than the Nissan ones I have.

You might want to see what DT has. They will pitch you the spendier ones first of course.

Do the rims you bought at DT have the same backspacing and offset as the stock X wheels? If so, do you have a P/N? Thanks for the help.

With the tires I currently run, some wheels that work for you, might not for me. I'm running 32" Swamper TSLs and wheels like the AR 767 with a BS of 4.75 will not work with my truck w/o a body lift (I have the 3" SLR lift) We'll see though, they might work for me too. However, IIRC fee_nx tried to run the 767s with his TSLs and it they wouldn't fit.

The stock X wheels with a BS of 5.25 are very odd for a truck wheel, that's why its so hard to get an aftermarket wheel for the Xterra without compromising tire size or going with a body lift. Thanks for the help though, hopefully DT has something I can use.

I run BFG AT's (30') on my new wheels - I am putting MT's on my original steel wheels.
