front struts

i have a 67 mustang it was a 6 banger now a v8 351w but i heard their was a way of putting struts in the front from the junkyard i went to the junkyard and i saw some latemodel ones was thinkin of removing the spindle but the steering on late model have it in the front while my mustang has it in the rear of the spindle can i just switch sides or what years can i just bolt on or am i going to have togo with just disc brake conversion from a granada??????
