I have a '95 Grand Am SE V6. When I come to a complete stop, unless I rev the engine the car dies a lot of the time. When everything is quiet enough you can hear the revs fluxing... not by much but it's kind of noticeable and then after a couple it just drops really low and then dies. I don't have a Tachometer so I really can't say how much it fluxuates but I know it isn't too much because of the sound. Any help would me MUCH apreciated... Thanks --J

Also check your air filter, and does the car have an oder to it?

Umm... sorta... It smells kinda like burning oil or gas according to someone... but there is no odd smoke coming from the exhaust or anywhere else for that matter

Edit: Could you also tell me how to get to the fuel filter, as I'm not too knowledgeable on cars?? Thanks for responding everyone by the way:)

Edit Number 2: I have been reading and some say that a replacement of the PCV Valve could make Idling better and also have better mileage... so One: Should I try changing that while I'm working on the filters? and Two: If so, could anyone help me out instruction wise... at least the location would be nice... Thanks!!!

fuel filter will be back near the gas tank, if you dont kow that much about cars perhaps you should have a professional do that, depending on the car its pretty easy to fuck up if you got the wrong kind of clip, the pcv is in the vavle cover you just pull it out and put the new one in
