anyone have any? I am having trouble getting the intake off... there are those 4 bolts on the bottom and i cant reach them!!! what do i do!

if your intake system is like mine when i did my head it is a 2 peice intake where you can seperate the top portion from the bottom portion. their should be 5 bolts under that piece where your throttle body connects to, i don't know what that thing is called?? it's that tube thing that air goes into and then splits into the 4 cylinders??? but if you can seperate that then the bottom portion come off real easy.. good luck

if yours isn't a 2 peice then i would get someone with rubber arms and small hands to do it because they must of had some of them around when they built those cars.... :iceslolan

I can usually reach them from the engine bay, using ratcheting box end wrenches (like Gear Wrenches). OTherwise, if I have the transfer case off (5 mionute job anyway) I can easily get to them from below.

u'll just have to grin and bear it..when i did my head swap they were a pain in the @ss to get to and put back on...u can do it though just be patient.

a 97 Tsi head will work on my 98 GSX right?
