Hi
I have a brother-in-law who will be moving to an island to work and doesn't want to take his car. He has a 95 golf that he will be giving to me. I know my brother-in-law and he is a fantastic guy, however the idea of regular car maintenance is lost on him. He only works on the car when it stops running. I know there will be multiple things that need attention when I get it in August.
Does anyone know any good resources for parts. I have a land rover and there are many sites for LR parts and I am certain there are the same for volkswagens but I just don't know where to look.

I've never ordered from either of these sites, but just to kick things off, I know of Impex (http://www.impexfap.com/partsearch.cfm) and Parts4VW (http://www.parts4vw.com) (popular around here with enthusiasts)

Don't everyone kick me at once... but go to Autozone.com. for cheap parts (and ussually lifetime War.) I wouldn't recomend ignition parts from there as the quality is a bit lacking, but for the most part, the stuff is pretty good. Oh yeah.. avoid Cheap timing belts!
