will the rear from a 5.0L t-bird fit in an 89 5.0L mustang?

i think the axle tubes are longer, so you'd have to get them shortened. otherwise it's a direct bolt-in to the best of my knowlege.

What year Thunderbird are you talking about? The model years into the '90s had independent rear suspension and is not bolt-in. If its from a Fox3 chassis T-bird, then the rear might have disc brakes (I know the Turbocoupes do) and is something like an inch wider per side. It will fit, but your tires might rub.

Yes, it will fit, yes it is just slightly longer. You will not have any problems if you have the stock spring and stock size tires. You can however get wheels with a different backspacing then stock to compensate for the longer axle.
