New Tigra Old before its time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Opel(Vauxhall in UK)has recently launched the good-looking new Tigra roadster but something puzzles me. The Tigra makes use of the Corsa's platform ,which is pushing 5years now and a new Corsa is on the way in the next two years. The Tigra also uses the Corsa's dated dash and other old interior switchgear. Where is the logic in this, Opel could have just waited a little longer to launch the Tigra along with the all-new Corsa range all sharing the same platform and interior switchgear. Surley the Tigra is going to show its age from the inside and dynamically in the next few-years.

Would this not have been easier(if expensive)?? ??

Don't they use the Corsa C platform?

They used Corsa C platform and it is 5 years old. Corsa C is the third generation of Corsa. They mark them alphabeticali (A, B, C). But I think it is not a bad platform. We have Corsa C, and it is O.K.
