I recently purchased a T-Connector to hook up my utility trailer lights. This was a connector specifically for the '99 Rodeo. The instructions showed a cable harness and connector inside the jack compartment. When I went in there the only thing I could find was the two-wire 12v aux power connection for the aux power plug (cigarette lighter type) that is above the jack compartment in front of the left taillight assembly in the rear of the Rodeo.
Anyone ever run into this.\? If so, what was your resolution?

On the 2002 & 2003 rodeos in our family, the electrical connector for the trailer lights is near the jack compartment, but there is no way to reach it. It's behind the plastic panel quarter panel cover. Just carefully/firmly yank the panel away to give yourself enough room to reach in near the tailgate door weather stripping. You will see the connector taped (with blue tape) to a large harness in there. Just tear off the tape, fish the connector thu the jack compartment & pop the panel back into place. It's a 5 minute, tool-less job!

Thank you, it was just as you described. And, it actually just took a couple of minutes after I realized what needed to be done. Thanks so much for the quick response.
