I just got a 1990 300zx. The seller told me it would need servicing soon. So Im going to replace the fan belt. I was thinking if Im going to pay for the labor of doing this, I might as well change the timing belt, water pump, and put on an aluminum fly wheel. Can anyone tell me what else I might want to do?
Also, can anyone tell me of a good Z mechanic in Northern Florida, near Pensacola? If not, than anywhere near Florida.
Thank you,
Thomas

Check your alternator... might be a good idea to change your rear main seal since you are dropping the tranny anyway... good that you are planning to change the timing belt... you pretty much have it covered... these are potential problems... I should know and I'm sure that the rest of the gang would agree...

i would recommend buying this kit http://store.yahoo.com/sgpracing-store/ni903060ksek.html. it replaces all the belts, timing belt tensioner, cam and crank seals, water pump, etc. i recommend this because when the seller said it needs to be serviced, i am guessing the 60k service and the stuff in this kit replaces want needs to be replaced in the 60k service.
