Radiator fan not switching on

Hi guys!

Does anyone know where the temperature switch is located that's supposed to switch on my radiator fans when it gets too hot?
I know the fans work cause they go on when I use the aircon, but for some reason not when the engine gets hot. Any Ideas what else I can check for? I also couldn't find the fuse for the fan. It's a 97 model sentra, sr20de.

Thanks.

You should find the water temperature sensor under the inlet manifold. If your temp gauge is working, then it is working correctly so your EFI computer or fusible links to the fan are probably responsible for the fans not switching on.
Have you tried holding the engine at 4000rpm for prolonged periods to see if they turn on?

Dewald, I had a 93 sentra doing the same thing. all fuses were ok. Rather than going to a lot of expense I wired the fans so that when the key was on the fans were on. That cured my problem and I ran it another three years with no problems before trading.
