I can't answer your question, but I csn'y find much about air shocks. What kind do you have I have a 72 chevelle that has been lowered and I'm thinking I will have to be able to adjust the rear height in ooder to fit the wheel tire combo I want 18x11's with 315/35/18 I know that they will fit, but concerned that the 1 1/2" springs will interfere.
Help if you can.

Most manufacturers state not to run under 25 PSI, however most drag racers not running slicks will drop them to nothing to avoid spinning at green. So you can run them at nothing; however; on the street its probably best to abide by the manufacturers guidelines min 25 psi. hope this helps. I run mine at about 75 psi to give it that beefed up look.

Well they make air bag suspensions for them, but the cost and installation is generally not for amatuers; its way to involved and extremely costly. Getting air shocks on the other hand is no different than changing your gas charged, running a couple of airlines to your rear frame crossmember and inflating them, cost is I think 30 bucks a piece. I think mine are HIjackers by Monroe. Its nice if you go to the strip every once in a while, cause you can dump the air and get a better holeshot. If you want more information on the airbag suspensions just pick up a copy of your favorite car magazine, there are sure to be tons of advertisements.

The max is 200 but you won't need to get anywhere near that because the ride height will be up near 30 inches.

Air shocks I dont recommend them as they have been known to blow or look lopsided. Would not ever use them on a drag car ever. Put some 66 chevelle wagon springs on it to raise it. Adjust height by cutting the springs. Or do what real racers do and put adjustable coil-overs on it for best results and tuning and appearance and durabliity.

Also, FYI If you raise the rear of the car you push the center of gravity of your car to the front. This causes a loss in traction in the rear because the weight has been transferred forward. Yes its neat to spin those tires. But to win, you need to grab the pavement and go hard.
