is the camaro comming back?

my friend says that they are bringing back the camaro in 2006 is this true or just a fantasy?

2007 Manuf. Year (2008 Calendar Yr).

The new Camaro will be based on GM's Zeta Chassis (see Opel Insignia + Buick Riviera Concepts). Styling clinics were done a year ago. Delphi is rumored to have bid on the steering wheel contract already. Rumor has it it is slated to be built in Oshawa. Don't expect to hear the name Camaro to be mentioned by any GM executives until after the 2005 CAW negotiations.

wonder if it will keep the same power train, or go with something completely different but of equal power.

I hope it's a nice looking car with hardly any options; All it needs is A/C and a V8

I've heard about a possible Chevelle on the drawing boards, but no Camaro

I think its inevitable. I only hope they do not mock the tradition of the car by coming out with some six banger four door.

Dont get me wrong all the newer versions of the muscle cars arent that bad, but i think its a shame that they are destroying the looks of the classic muscle car, for example look at the new GTO it an australian car with some minor modifications and thats it. I wish that they would stop ruining the reputation and looks of all the good ole cars, but hey thats just my :2cents: .

^with as much flak as the GTO is getting on its design, I think we can be almost assured that there will be some major design changes in the next-gen in a few years
