shifter knob

Anyone know how to take off the shifter knob on a 02 s10??? I tryed to twist it off with my hands, but it won't go. Is it glued down and i need to put wrench on it??? I would hate to brake anything.

the shifters on all the newer s-10s and blazers and such are all 1 piece the knob dont come off

Is there a kit that you can buy so you can change the knob

i dont think, but u could get a whole new shifter

thats right...B & M has a good s-10 short throw shifter that looks pretty cool and comes with a silver engraved knob, and i believe it just unscrews to allow swapping of knobs

I check out B&M web site and they only have a shifter for the 4 cyl. and not the v6. anyone know of a short throw shifter for the v6????
