(S) sports light is on

Aright guys i have a 1990 honda accord lx, the (S) sports light is solid green and its only gives me 3 gears. Once i am going about 70 mph the rpm are at about 5000 rpm. Someone please help me out!!!!!! I would appreciate it.

There's a button on the gear shifter (little button below the main shifting switch) that turns the "S" (Sport) mode off and on. Have you tried that?
