Q: GT-R Interior dimensions

I’ve been searching for interior dimensions of the GT-R 32, 33 and 34. I have been unable to find these particular numbers. Being 6’3” (~2m) with a tall spine, I need good head room or I can’t sit properly in the car to enjoy it’s performance. I’m looking into the GT-R as my next car but this sticking point is something I’d like to know before committing to the import process (into the US). Could you please direct me to, or post the the interior dimensions of the GT-R?

Thanks.

I'm 6'2 and my head sticks out of the sunroof on my R32 if I have good driving posture. (I can never close the shade on the sunroof). In my old R32 without a sunroof I think the roof was higher.

Ah im screwed then... 6'6 fella's...

Maybe you could custom mount your seats further back? Thats what I had to do in my Zed... I fit just fine now.

The GTRs have quite differnt front seats in them.

Iv driven a few R32 GTS-ts and even my short arse self found them cramped, however Iv been luckey enough to sit in Vinces GTR, and its a world of differnce.

yeah, my friend has a bride racing seat in his R32 and it was a much better fit inside the car :-) I felt like I was sitting on the floor though.

GTR seats seem to sit slightly lower than the GTST seats and the fact that they have no sunroofs mean a little more headroom ontop of that

I have a mate whos well over 6ft, and he had no trouble driving a friends R33 GTS, and the R34s are ment to be bigger inside than the R33s.

Shadren you should have no trouble in an R33 or R34. But an R32? Razor, ever had any verticaly exagerated people drive your car?

Thank you, this helps a lot in narrowing my focus. I suppose changing the seat is an option as well. Any other tall people that have sat/driven in the 33 and/or 34? Can you get into the “proper” driving position? (Defined as back straight and your head level, having your butt fully in the back of the seat, your arms with a slight to moderate bend at the elbow when holding the wheel)

Dose any one have the spec sheet from the factory or dealer? The 34 stopped production in 2001 so I was hoping that at least I could find one that included the interior. That has proved rather hard for me to find.

Thanks again for the info!

I don't think you should have any problems with the R32 GTR...

I'm 6'2" and I don't have any problems fitting in my R32... In fact, there's probably a good 2 inches between my head and the roof...

Since you're in California, you might want to head down to Motorex... I'm sure they'll let a prospective customer sit in one...

Yeah the R34 GTR has a lot more room inside. My head didn't hit the roof (6'2'')
