I just got a pair of these halo projectors for my 03 accord coupe. While they look very nice they came with these tiny little hb3 & hb4 bulbs. I thought at worst I would be able to use some piaa plasma's and at best a hid kit. Does anyone know how to upgrade these to use better bulbs or an hid kit?

I feel you pain bro, i had the same prob with my 01 accord, the problem you will run into is that a good HID kit will cost you a pretty penny, now the other problem is that you are limited by the amount of room INSIDE the socket that the regular bulb fits in, you just need to shop around and compare sizes, be carefull that if you do go with HID's that they don't run too hot or you will melt your housing, or parts of it, it happened to a friend of mine. another problem is that alot of companies use cheap foglight lenses instead of projector lenses so the beam patters is all irregular, so they will not illuminate as well as your stock units. im speaking from experience, if the HID kit you buy is not simple bolt on so to speak, you will be paying more for some customizing.

Thats the thing, you cant even use your stock 9006 bulbs in the new housing(back side of projectors). They only fit these little hb4 bulbs which dont even look like they are made for cars and I'm wondering what I will do if one burns out. As far as hid kits, they have come way down in price. I saw these ruby purple 1200k kits on ebay for like $320. I know some of you think 6000k is as far as it goes. But Dam the images the seller had of the way the kit looked.....I was very tempted. I think it will take anoter aftermarket housing that can replace the housing made for these little hb4's. If any one has done it let me know.

Hey, I have a 99 honda accord with the Halo projectors with 8000k HID system and they work pretty well...Only have one problem with the Halo Projector Headlamps...you can adjust the light beams (and if you know how..PLEASE let me know how!) Also, in order for you to make the "halos" work, you have to tap it into your headlight wire...I haven't done it yet for the reason of I want to make sure that is the only way before I mess around with the main wire of the HIDS..haha...

eer...typo...you CAN'T adjust the light beams...there is no knob to do so like on the stock headlamps....

i think there are three screws in the back of the projector housing u can use a flexible tube philip screw driver to adjust it...it's kind of hard to do but that's how i adjusted my light beams.
